loading.tsx + error.tsx
React chapter 34 · Next.js · file conventions · source: next.js/docs/app/api-reference/file-conventions
The problem
Every page invents isLoading and try/catch. Nested layouts do not get a shared spinner. An error in a leaf kills the whole app because there is no route-level boundary.
The pattern that fixes it
Convention files: loading.tsx wraps the segment in Suspense, error.tsx is an error boundary, not-found.tsx handles 404. The file tree is the UI tree.
